WSOP airs on ESPN tonight. Been itching to watch the World Series of Poker on television? Now is your chance. ESPN begins broadcasting the WSOP at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, with the the first of two one-hour episodes that night. This begins a 24-episode run on the sports network, which culminates with the crowning of a main event champion on Nov. 11. The first two shows will feature the WSOP.
Today’s poker TV is in a good place. Poker TV shows may have decreased in quantity, but not necessarily in quality. Poker enthusiasts are in a good place right now with the World Poker Tour still kicking, primetime coverage on ESPN of the WSOP every year, and Poker Central finally bringing the concept of a 24-hour poker network to fruition.
